Savannahs Home and Design is sharing a special holiday treat with you…
Create your holiday home with these simple and classic no fuss holiday decorating ideas and tips.
The look is simple, understated and classic.
We love incorporating holiday touches into existing home decor and adding simple touches that do not take away from your home’s aesthetic.
This year's tree is all about simplicity and elegance. We took a break from ornaments to give way to an understated look. The idea emerged from our own experience. During hurricane Helene, we lost our tree and all our holiday decorations from the water damage and flooding. Instead of starting over right after moving; I decided to simplify this year's holiday decorating.
Here’s how to get the looks

Add a green Norfolk wreath with ribbon over the mirrors.
Add a Norfolk stem or greenery with ribbon to sconces or staircases. Add it over entryways or doorways.
Replace existing floral with white and Norfolk stems.
Let your wrapping paper be part of the design. William Morris wrapping paper with velvet ribbon is just the right amount of color and pattern.
Add rustic bells with ribbon to drape garland over your fireplace or console.
Layer in more candles for added ambiance.
Mount wreaths hung by ribbon on windows or on your kitchen hood.
Layer in extra candle sticks-shop vintage candle holders at local antique stores
What I love and I’m so happy there is finally a name for it as with the recent trend: is quiet luxury.
I very much loving simplicity and understated within spaces. In our current home I was craving less clutter with elegant simple styling.
This is how I love to design and I’m really leaning into it within our own home too. I’m allowing it to transition to the holidays and inform how I decorate. I want fuss free, calming romantic touches with whimsical moments.

The quiet luxury holiday look is all about muted colors, luxury materials and textural layering.
For me it’s a mix of satin, velvets, silver, gold, crystals, lots of ambient lighting and Norfolk
greenery with the influence of nature.
There is a romantic feel to the look that is rather feminine and soft yet polished. I also love the look because it’s so achievable with minimal items needed and so readily accessible. These are also items you will use year after year and in new ways. They are rooted in foundational pieces with the intentional application of them in a very polished and elegant way.
As we embrace this holiday season, remember that simplicity and elegance can transform your home into a warm and inviting sanctuary. By incorporating timeless elements and muted tones, you can create a space that feels both festive and calming.
Let your decor reflect your personality while celebrating the spirit of the holidays. Don’t forget to cherish those moments spent with loved ones amidst your beautifully styled surroundings.
Take these ideas and make them your own, enjoying the process of decorating without the stress. Wishing you a joyful and peaceful holiday season filled with love, laughter, and your unique touch of quiet luxury.
