Our role is to shape the architectural and interior vision early, ensuring the home is cohesive, intentional, and enduring. Working in close collaboration with our builder on key decisions around layout, architectural features, materials, millwork, and detailing — balancing structure, function, and atmosphere from the ground up.

Custom cabinetry and millwork are foundational to our work. We design and detail architectural elements that shape how a home functions and feels—built-ins, ceiling details, paneling and more are integrated into the architecture rather than applied as decoration. Do I need an Interior Designer?

If you’re moving into a new home, building a custom home, or simply updating or remodeling; hiring a designer can ultimately save you time, and money, and prevent you from making design hiccups. Additionally, designers can streamline the entire process. Anyone can benefit from an interior designer and if you feel stuck, and have a reasonable budget; a designer is much more affordable than you may expect. Designers provide a vision for your home and help it feel very intentional. Although Pinterest can provide inspiration and visuals for ideas-it can’t design your home. Designers customize their approach to your individual needs, home, budget, and timeline. It’s also way more fun to take that journey with a trusted ally and I often think of myself as a trusted design friend who wants to have fun with you and protect you.

What is an Interior Designer? 

Interior designers play a pivotal role in various projects, acting as the vital link between contractors and clients. Their responsibilities encompass managing and overseeing the design aspects of your home, ensuring both functionality and the desired aesthetic are maintained. Unlike project managers, designers focus on the overall vision, a collaborative concept shared between you and them. They create layouts and floor plans, assist in material selections, and offer valuable insights into functionality and layout. While not architects, designers can provide guidance, especially in minor renovations. For significant changes like altering load-bearing walls or comprehensive home plans, involving an architect or engineer is recommended. Designers can connect you with skilled architects and professionals, serving as a supportive sounding board throughout the project, guiding it to successful completion.
