We Went to the South of France this Fall

This stunning home overlooking beautiful grounds was in need of some interior updating. A busy large family full of teenagers and children meant approachable design in an elevated execution.

A round dining table breaks up the clean lines with an octagon light that pairs together the combination of shapes.

Black painted trim adds depth and an old works feel that borders on moody opulent French vibe and craftsman’s influence.

The bar was transformed through the use of stone, handmade tile and open shelving. A added coffee machine for afternoon espressos is needed for active parents.

The lighting is rather vintage but adds a touch of sophistication.

The living room faces a custom built in electric fireplace.

Curves and a bit of European romance which is a juxtaposition to the moodier and masculine feel of the other elements.

The ceiling is painted a striking black to add depth which instantly make the space feel cozier.

The sofas have a subtle curve that plays off the fireplace in a very romantic feel.

The dining room layout configuration was improved for a more open concept.The dining room is classic and romantic. The custom mural wallpaper acts as a large piece of artwork that defines the room. It’s laid over custom mill work with a mix of textural elements from a performance woven rug and stain resistant dining chairs. The legs on the dining offer a rather French vintage touch.The pairing on nature through colors and textural elements and classic architectural details offers a playful blend.The dining console provides adds storage to hide holiday cutlery and hosting essentials. The mirrors acts as a third window bouncing light around this dining room.

We love that this family will create so many memories here and bring them a sense of European nostalgia right in their home.
