We Bought a Boat

This earthy organic coastal vibe is the perfect backdrop to water views. A focus on functionality, family friendly living and a touch of formality lead the design. Everything is meant to be pulled together and be casual and livable for a family of four with dogs and a cat.

This home is situated right on the water so materials that could hold up to salt and water were a major focus.

From oak cabinets, stucco, a slat detailed hood and island to board and batten in playful girls bedroom. An expansive loft over looks the water, a primary suite is light and airy and feels like a tree house perched overlooking their boat dock.

We are thrilled to unveil the newly designed Siesta Key waterfront home for our repeat clients, the Rowleys! It has been an absolute pleasure to witness their journey transitioning to full-time Florida living, and we are honored to have been called back to create this stunning retreat.

The design embodies an earthy, organic coastal vibe that perfectly frames the breathtaking water views. Every aspect of the home was tailored to ensure functionality and family-friendly living while incorporating a touch of formality. With a family of four, including their beloved dogs and cat, we aimed to create a space that is both casual and livable.

Given the home's prime waterfront location, durability was a key consideration. We selected materials designed to withstand the elements, including oak cabinets, stucco finishes, and a beautifully detailed slat hood and island. The playful girls' bedroom features charming board and batten details, while the expansive loft offers a serene overlook of the water, making the primary suite feel like a treetop escape above the boat dock.

The design leverages a blend of nature-inspired and playful colors, striking a harmonious balance between modern organic aesthetics and whimsical touches. Key renovations included new wood-look tile flooring, custom chevron organic carpet on the third floor, and a full repainting of both interiors and exteriors, transforming the home into a fresh, modern space.

A fully custom kitchen and bar were reimagined, highlighted by a distinctive detailed hood and a striking plaster fireplace in the living room. The bedrooms now feature board and batten accents adorned with fun wallpaper from Serena and Lily, while the guest bathroom received a lively update with wood-look slat tile.

The primary bedroom offers breathtaking ceiling details and a serene atmosphere, enhancing the overall tranquility of the home. Exterior landscaping finished the project beautifully, complemented by a newly constructed boat dock—truly embodying the essence of Florida living.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the talented professionals who contributed to this project: Peter Basta for his exceptional craftsmanship, Deluxehomegallery for their beautiful custom cabinetry, Alec and his team at Browns Painting for their outstanding work, Paradise Floors and More, Inc. for flooring, and Susan Johnson-Glass for her impeccable wallpaper installation.

Congratulations to the Rowley family, their daughters, and fur babies! Thank you for trusting us with your vision.
