The Ancient Marble Lanai
We were so thrilled to be welcomed back to our clients home for the second phase of their project.
This phase focused on their lanai design. A stunning pool overlooks their land, so a focus on true indoor- outdoor living was the goal centered around family.
Stone pavers were installed along with an outdoor custom kitchen, custom tile work, and ceiling work that paired so beautifully with our clients fresh done landscaping.
A dramatic black glazed tile backsplash anchors the kitchen, offering depth and mood reminiscent of Parisian bistros and Portuguese ceramics. Crisp white framing and a dark tongue-and-groove ceiling create an architectural backbone, while layered natural accents like palm leaves, wood boards, and woven textures soften the structure with organic warmth.
A modern take on Portuguese azulejos in a monocratic dramatic palette gives texture and depth. The handmade zellige tile punctuates the waterfall island. The crisp white stucco framing mirrors Mediterranean villas with strong lines, minimal ornamentation, and timeless architecture. While the dark wood ceiling feels like an Old World lodge detail, grounding the space with warmth and heritage.
A true U shaped kitchen allows for the glow of grilling and preparing while allowing for family and guest to linger around bar. The chefs POV overlooks the lush green yard while grilling.
Flowing seamlessly to the pool and lush tropical backdrop, the space feels both resort-like and approachable, perfect for elegant entertaining or relaxed family living.
