Spice Haven

Spice Haven is a layered, design-led transformation of a builder-grade residence in The Isles at Lakewood Ranch, reimagined through the lens of Savannah’s Home & Design. Rooted in contrast and cohesion, the home reflects a thoughtful fusion of global influence and everyday livability.

Inspired by the homeowners’ travels—from the warmth of the Caribbean British colonial influence to the depth and richness of Africa—the design balances light and shadow, softness and structure. Airy, sunlit spaces unfold into more intimate, moody moments, creating a sense of rhythm throughout the home. Each room was approached as part of a larger narrative, where materiality, tone, and proportion work in quiet harmony.

At its core, the project was an exercise in elevation—transforming standard architectural bones into something far more intentional. Through custom millwork, Venetian plaster, texture, refined detailing and a curated mix of furnishings; the home now carries a sense of depth and permanence that feels both collected and deeply personal.

Designed for hosting and connection, Spice Haven moves effortlessly between function and atmosphere. It is a home that reflects its owners not through literal interpretation, but through a layered translation of experience, memory, and place—resulting in a space that feels grounded, expressive, and entirely their own.
