We were tasked with making this new build home feel warm and loved. It required some soul and character!

We were tasked with making this new build home feel warm and loved. It required some soul and character!
We took several pieces of inspiration from our client’s culture, likes, the homes style, location, views and our clients history.
MOOD BOARD
This home was designed to feel warm, welcoming, and functional, while still carrying the elegance of classic architectural details. Our clients previously lived in California and we aimed to embody modern California transitional style: light-filled, open, and effortless. It balances clean architecture with natural elements, creating spaces that are elevated yet livable — the hallmark of West Coast interiors.
Relaxed modern living rooted in natural materials, indoor-outdoor connection, and timeless transitional architecture. Its refined, soulful, and built for both entertaining and everyday ease — very much in the spirit of California cool.
• A dramatic marble-clad fireplace wall with custom built-ins and floating oak shelves that anchor the living room.
• Coffered ceilings with oak beams, adding warmth, architectural interest, and balance to the expansive open-concept space.
• A kitchen designed for gathering, featuring soft-toned cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a waterfall-edge island accented by warm wood stools and matte black fixtures.
• A serene primary bedroom retreat with custom wall paneling and a wood-planked ceiling, blending texture and comfort with quiet sophistication.
• A custom bar and beverage station integrates seamlessly into the home, featuring quartz counters, open oak shelving, and a wine fridge.
• Styled with a curated mix of glassware, ceramics, and vintage silver pieces, this niche reflects both elegance and functionality. Showcasing our clients collection of Moroccan and french dish ware, and antique teapots.
Throughout the home, a palette of neutrals, warm woods, and layered textures keeps the look cohesive, calm, and inviting. The result is a home that feels as beautiful as it is functional — ideal for both family living and entertaining. With a sun-washed, nature-inspired palette — soft, warm, and organic.
• Creamy Whites & Warm Beiges create a light, airy canvas that reflects natural daylight.
• Oak Tones like honey and sand-colored woods bring in a grounded, coastal warmth.
• Muted blues and greenery offer subtle accents that nod to California’s landscape (olive groves, eucalyptus, and coastline) as well as our Florida landscape.
• Black & Bronze Details used to create a modern, structural contrast that keeps the palette from feeling too soft.
Relaxed Luxury was the aim with every detail elevated but approachable — a marble slab backsplash and a woven basket can live in the same space.
