Foxfire West is a thoughtfully reimagined residence designed to balance architectural restraint with warmth and livability. The project focused on creating a quiet, cohesive environment where natural materials, refined millwork, and soft tonal layers establish a sense of calm sophistication. Set on two acres and framed by mature oak trees overlooking a quiet lake, the home was designed to capture the beauty of its surroundings and draw the landscape inward, creating a seamless dialogue between indoors and out.
At the heart of the home, the kitchen was reworked as an anchoring architectural moment.
The entire floor plan was reimagined to allow for family gatherings and open living for a young family of 4. A custom plaster range hood, brass pot filler, and subtle veining in the stone backsplash introduce understated craftsmanship, while warm oak detailing at the island adds depth and contrast to the surrounding cabinetry. Soft Roman shades and aged brass lighting create a gentle rhythm across the space, allowing light and texture to take center stage.
Throughout the home, a restrained palette of warm whites, pale oak, and natural fibers builds a sense of continuity. The living spaces were designed to feel both elevated and relaxed—tailored upholstery, sculptural wood furniture, and layered textiles create an environment that is sophisticated yet deeply comfortable.
The fireplace serves as a quiet focal point, framed by Venetian plaster and topped with a substantial oak mantel that grounds the room. Artwork and collected objects were chosen to feel personal and timeless, reinforcing the sense that the home has evolved naturally rather than being overly styled.
In the dining area, sculptural lighting and warm wood tones create an intimate gathering space, while curated storage pieces introduce a subtle European influence. Each element was selected to support the overall narrative of the home—one rooted in restraint, craftsmanship, and enduring materials.
